The Florida Jaycee Women

The Florida Jaycee Women were an integral part of our organization from May 1965 to November 1984. Their purpose was to work with the Jaycees in their various endeavors, to serve their local, state and national communities in the advancement of our society, and to offer to their local chapters a program similar to the Jaycee Program. The motto of the Jaycee Women was “Cooperation Without Competition”, for they believed in working with their Jaycees. Many local projects could not have been completed without the aid of an auxiliary and many state programs would not have been as successful without their help. A plaque is displayed in the Chapter Service Center to honor the Past Presidents of the Florida Jaycee Women.

Florida JCI Senate

The Florida JCI Senate was founded in 1970 as an independent organization.  At that time, their purpose was to provide fellowship for those members who had been named as Florida JCI Senators but were no longer eligible for active membership in the Florida Jaycees.  Since that time, they have evolved into an organization whose main purpose is to promote membership in the Senate as a means of recognition for outstanding service by members of JCI Florida.  In addition, they serve as a speaker’s bureau for JCI Florida chapters to call on for help.  In 1998, the Florida JCI Senate also established a trainers program.  Today, the Florida JCI Senate sponsors the First Timers Program at each state conference and the Charlie Stubbs Memorial Award for the Chapter that runs the best International Project.
