Celebrate 100 Years of JCI Impact

While 2015 marks JCI Florida’s 90th Anniversary, this year also marks the 100^thAnniversary of when Henry Giessenbier began the organization that would become the United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees), and eventually JCI. Over the last 100 years, Jaycees have created positive change in their communities by building world-renowned burn centers, hospitals, and community parks; implementing programs to encourage voting; and fund-raised millions of dollars to help combat disease and improve people’s lives. Through all of these efforts, the real impact has been on the lives of our members. JCI has helped active young citizens in communities across the United States to become the leaders of the next generation, and thousands of individuals who learned their leadership skills through meeting the needs in their community are creating positive change around the world.

JCI USA Annual Meeting 2015

JCI USA – National Summit

JCI USA National Summit will give members the opportunity to work with other organizations, businesses and partners to build resolutions creating positive change in the world. We will spend the weekend hearing from amazing speakers on important topics facing today’s young people. This conference will also provide the tools young people need to understand how government works and how to work it to a chapter’s advantage. Elected officials can be a chapter’s best friend when it comes to finding projects to undertake and the resources to accomplish them.

The 2015 JCI USA National Summit will take place June 6-8, and will focus on topics, such as:

Promoting Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Growth
Eradication of Disease
Eradication of Extreme Poverty and Hunger
Ensuring Healthy Lives: Promoting Well Being for all Ages

Once dates are entered, the next screen will appear “Select Your Reservation Details”. Guests need to then go under the “Special Accounts” section. JCI World Congress 2015 – November 3-8, 2015 – Kanazawa, Japan

November 3-8, 2015, members from across the globe come together for the peak of the JCI year at JCI World Congress. At this global forum international officers will be elected for the upcoming year. JCI Members also explore ideas for international initiatives and recognize the achievements of outstanding active citizens. With JCI in more than 100 countries and territories, members have the opportunity to meet fellow citizens from highly diverse backgrounds. JCI Members will share experiences and find new ways to create positive change on both local and global levels. At this event, JCI’s critical mass of young people will unite to magnify the positive impact of the JCI movement.

JCI USA – Leadership Training University (LTU)

Leadership Training University (LTU) brings together incoming leaders from across the country for an intensive multi-state conference to learn everything they need to know to run their chapters in the coming year.

Session topics include:

– making an impact in your community

– understanding what constitutes a healthy chapter

– keeping chapters legally and financially compliant

– building strong chapter boards

– effective communication with members, potential members, and civic leaders

– understanding the membership database, the website, and other tools and resources

Attendees will meet with National Officers and review plans of action. A highlight of the conference will be the inauguration of chapter officers!

All locations are open to all chapter leaders. You are welcome to attend the one of your choice.
